Veterinary Tylosin Tartrate injection 20%

COMPOSITION

  • Tylosin (as tartrate) 20 g
  • Excipient q.s.     100 ml

PROPERTIES
As an anti-bacterial agent Tylosin is active against most of the micro-organisms responsible for primary infections in domestic animals: mycoplasma, Gram+ bacteria (Staphylococcus spp, Streptococcus spp…) and some Gram- bacteria (Campylobacter coli, Fusobacterium necrophorus, Actinobacillus).

As an anti-bacterial agent Tylosin is active against most of the micro-organisms responsible for primary infections in domestic animals: mycoplasma, Gram+ bacteria (Staphylococcus spp, Streptococcus spp…) and some Gram- bacteria (Campylobacter coli, Fusobacterium necrophorus, Actinobacillus).

INDICATIONS
Cattle: Respiratory diseases, mastitis caused by Gram+ germs sensible to Tylosin, Foot rot, other diseases caused by Tylosin-susceptible bacteria.
Sheep and goats: Pleuropneumonia, metritis caused by Gram+ germs.

CONTRA-INDICATIONS
Do not administer to horses.

ADMINISTRATION AND DOSAGE
Deep intramuscular route. In case of severe affections, the usual dosage can be doubled by administering two injections a day.
Usual dosage :
Cattle : 0.5 to 1 ml / 20 kg Body Weight per day for 3 days
Sheep and goats : 1 ml / 20 kg Body Weight per day for 3 days

SIDE-EFFECTS
The use of the product may cause occasional and transient local discomfort upon injection.

PRECAUTIONS
Keep out of the reach of children and uninformed persons.

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD
Meat : 14 days
Milk : 3 days (6 milkings)
